Frequently asked questions

What URL should I use for my restaurant menu?

Any publicly accessible link works — a PDF hosted on Google Drive, a page on your website, your Toast or Square menu link, or even an Instagram highlight. Just make sure the link opens without requiring a login.

What size should I print my menu QR code sign?

For tabletop use, a 6×4" landscape card is ideal — it sits upright in an acrylic holder and is easy to read from across a table. For window or wall placement, a 5×7" or letter-size sign gives you more visual impact. You can download any size for free.

Can I customise the text on the sign?

Yes. After you generate your QR code you'll land on the templates page where you can edit the headline, subtitle, and instruction text to match your brand voice.

What if my menu link changes?

If you update the URL your QR code points to, you'll need to regenerate and reprint — the QR code is baked into the image. To avoid this, use a redirect URL or link shortener that you control, so you can update the destination without changing the QR code itself.

Is this really free?

Yes. Generating a QR code and downloading a template is completely free with no account required. We may introduce a paid tier for additional features in the future, but core functionality will always be free.

Can I use this for multiple locations?

Absolutely — just generate a separate QR code for each location's menu URL and download a template for each one.
